Ingredients
- 4 slices sandwich bread
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) butter
- 4 eggs
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Directions
- Cut a 2 1/2-inch (6-cm) circle out of center of each bread slice (reserve bread centers for another use). Melt butter on Square Griddle (11"/28 cm) over medium heat, spreading to coat bottom. Place bread slices on griddle, turning once to coat both sides of bread lightly with melted butter.
- Carefully crack one egg into center of each bread slice. Cook 3-4 minutes or until egg is softly set. Carefully turn bread slices over. Cook 1-2 additional minutes or until egg is cooked to desired doneness. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
