Hash Brown Pizza

A comfort food fusion using creamy mashed potatoes as a base or topping — hearty, flavorful, and truly unique.

Ingredients

  • 1 (30 ounce) package frozen
  • shredded hash brown potatoes,
  • thawed
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed
  • cheddar cheese soup, undiluted
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 3 celery ribs, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 ounce) jar sliced mushrooms,
  • drained
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups shredded colby-monterey
  • jack cheese

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the hash browns and soup. Spread into a
  2. greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees F
  3. for 30 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook the beef, celery and onion over
  5. medium heat until meat is no longer pink and vegetables are tender;
  6. drain. Add the tomato sauce, mushrooms, chili powder, seasoned
  7. salt, garlic powder and pepper. Spread over the crust. Sprinkle with
  8. cheese. Bake 10 minutes longer or until the cheese is melted.
