Hot Crab Spread

Creamy and indulgent, this warm crab dip features tender crab meat, cream cheese, and seasonings. Perfect for entertaining, it’s easily made in the slow cooker and served bubbling hot with crackers or bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped green onions 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 8 cups shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 4 (6 ounce) cans crabmeat - drained, flaked and cartilage removed
  • assorted crackers

Directions

  1. In a skillet, saute onions and garlic in butter until tender. Transfer to a 3-qt. slow cooker; add mayonnaise. Stir in cheese. Cover and cook on low for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted, stirring occasionally.
  2. Stir in crab; cover and cook 1 hour longer or until heated through. Serve spread warm with crackers.
