Miso Sauce
This miso sauce recipe from cookbook author and blogger Dan Churchill is great over steak, steamed or roasted vegetables, and even grilled tofu and rice.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/3 cup mirin
- 1/3 cup tamari/soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon miso paste
Directions
- In a small saucepan over low heat, whisk the water, syrup, mirin, tamari, and miso paste until well combined. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until reduced by about one-third.
- Do Ahead: The miso sauce can be made 1 week ahead. Store in an airtight container and chill.
