Pepperoni Pizzazz

Duplicate of earlier listing, with a hearty, tomato-based soup infused with classic pizza flavors — pepperoni, cheese, and herbs.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces medium tube pasta
  • 1 (28 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce,
  • divided
  • 1 (4.5 ounce) jar sliced
  • mushrooms, drained
  • 1 (8 ounce) package sliced
  • pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • flakes
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • cheese

Directions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, combine 2-1/3 cups spaghetti sauce, mushrooms,
  3. pepperoni, green pepper, onion, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder,
  4. salt, pepper and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Drain pasta; add to
  5. sauce mixture and mix well. Transfer to a greased 3-qt. baking dish.
  6. Combine the tomato sauce and remaining spaghetti sauce; pour
  7. over top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 40-45 minutes or
  8. until bubbly. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake, uncovered, 5
  9. -10 longer or until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 minutes before
  10. serving.
